Jawas were a sentient species of meter-tall humanoids native to the Outer Rim desert world of Tatooine.
What Jawas hid underneath their heavy robes was subject to much speculation from the colonists who settled on Tatooine, with rumors claiming they were giant rodents or devolved humans. Although Jawas were typically small, measuring only one meter, some of them were significantly taller than that. One of those abnormally gangly Jawas was almost as tall as a 3PO unit, a model of protocol droid measuring 1.71 meters.Continue reading “Tim Donaldson Interview – Jawa”

Temiri Blagg, a Force-sensitive male, was a child who lived a forlorn existence working as a stable hand in the Canto Casino during the First Order–Resistance war. He was part of a team of urchins—children abandoned on the planet Cantonica as a result of gambling losses—who oversaw the racing fathiers of Canto Bight under the management of Bargwill Tomder. In 34 ABY, he briefly encountered the Resistance operatives Rose Tico and Finn, who were attempting to evade the officers of the Canto Bight Police Department. Kado Oquoné was a human male who served as a captain in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. During the Battle of Scarif, Oquoné was in command of the Sphyrna-class corvette Lightmaker.
After his ship was damaged he took it away from the line of fire to guard the line of retreat. Late in the battle, Admiral Raddus ordered Oquoné to ram his corvette into the side of a disabled Star Destroyer, causing it to crash into the second Star Destroyer and then into the Shield Gate protecting Scarif. This disabled the Gate and allowed the Rebels on Scarif to transmit the Death Star plans to Raddus. The Lightmaker, along with its skeleton crew was destroyed in the crash. Oquoné’s actions resulted in the capture of the Death Star plans by the Rebels, which were later used to exploit a weakness in the battle station and destroy it during the Battle of Yavin.Continue reading “Angus Wright Interview – Kado Oquoné”

Rio Durant was a four-armed Ardennian pilot who lived during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Durant carried out dangerous missions alongside the scoundrel Tobias Beckett for years and was good-natured and up for any challenge.
Rio Durant was a veteran of Freedom’s Sons , but since it paid no pension, he turned to a life of crime for income and applied his military skills there. In a recent interview, I spoke to Matthew Dale about his time in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first film outside of the Skywalker saga.
The Brotherhood of the Beatific Countenance was a Force-based Lorrdian religious group that was active during the reign of the Galactic Empire. Most members of the Brotherhood were clad in heavy vermilionrobes and cowls to represent a physical vow of silence, a counter to their natural physical expressiveness. Some followers carried staff-mounted censers filled with burningQatameric incensethat permeated through their heavy fabrics and masked their natural scent. In-keeping with the faith’s concealment of individuality, some members went so far as to strip themselves of their own names, such as the High Priest, who was referred to by his followers only by a keening wail of a specific pitch. Some members, such as leaders of a congregation, wore Blue Gowns of the Sullen Moon and Lorrdian Cowls of Quiescence.

Moloch was present in the White Worm’s den when Han Solo was brought to Lady Proxima after his failed mission. Lady Proxima was angered by Han’s failure and ordered Rebolt to hit Han with a staff. Han got angered by this, grabbed the staff from Rebolt, and said that he will hit back. Moloch then pulled out a blaster and pointed it at Han. Frightened for Han, Qi’ra ran in front of Moloch and pleaded with him to not shoot Han. Han then grabbed a rock and broke a window with it, exploiting the Grindalid weakness of sunlight. This caused Proxima to burn it up and retreat into the water. Han then took Qi’ra, pushed through the scumrats, and ran outside the den. Moloch quickly covered his face with armor so he wouldn’t burn, and started to pursue Han and Qi’ra. As Han and Qi’ra were escaping in a land speeder, Moloch opened fire on them, but was not able to hit them or the speeder.
Moloch then took Rebolt, Syke, and a pack of Corellian hounds with him in his A-A4B landspeeder to pursue the White Worm deserters with. Moloch quickly caught up to Qi’ra and Han in his speeder, and started to knock their speeder with his much more sizable speeder. Moloch proceeded to chase the deserters through the streets of Coronet City. Han eventually took the chase into an industrial manufacturing plant. Han then slanted his speeder to try and fit through a small crevice so Moloch would not catch him. At the end of the crevice Han’s speeder became wedged in the crevice, so him and Qi’ra were forced to continue running on foot. Moloch’s speeder was way to big to go after them, so like Han and Qi’ra, him and his pary were forced to chase the deserters on foot.Continue reading “Harley Durst SOLO: A Star Wars Story Interview – Moloch.”
